Latest Cinema Watching

I seldom watch movies for many reasons, one of which is not knowing what to watch. I finally broke my own record by watching the SAME movie twice in the SAME cinema with a margin of 9 days (well, I know I used to watch The Lion King literally every day, but see the title there?). Anyway, Doraemon Stand by Me is not a bad movie. But that doesn't justify that it's good either.
Movie poster. Don't mind the hiragana.

I had high expectations for this title because..... it's from Japan. And Japan is home to some of the best animated movies in the world, admit it. Graphics-wise, it exceeded my expectations. But the story lacks depth and I am disappointed with it. I won't spoil anything so don't worry, this post is spoiler-free. The theme song is really decent - it has been stuck in my head for days now! I'll put the video down here so lazy bummers (like myself) can listen to the song without much effort. Oh, in case you're wondering, the song's called Himawari no Yakusoku (Promise of Sunflower) and the singer's Motohiro Hata. If you want translation, look it up on your own - it's everywhere on the net.
